Window to the Past: Support for the Boys

These two ads from the October 1918 issue of The Roycroft are examples of the support given to American soldiers fighting in WWI.

As further support, a message on the publication’s cover reads:

NOTICE TO READER:
When you finish reading this issue of
The Roycroft, place a one-cent stamp
on this notice, hand same to any postal
employee and it will be placed in the hands
of our soldiers or sailors at the front. No
wrapping—no address.

The publication was printed and published by The Roycrofters in East Aurora, New York.
