More Bargeboard Bonanza

In the Winter 2024 issue of this newsletter, we showcased a collection of photographs of bargeboards from Twin Cities bungalows and other early 20th century homes. In case you missed it, a bargeboard, according to Wikipedia, “is a board fastened to each projecting gable of a roof to give it strength and protection…”

We asked our members to submit photos of their bargeboard designs other than those previously pictured. And you responded! Pictured here are bargeboard end details of four Bungalow Club members’ homes.

David Curle included this with his photo: “Thanks for the feature on bargeboards in the latest Small Home Gazette! And for finally giving me a name to call these things. I have attached photo of mine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen exactly this pattern on another house. I am always watching for new examples and designs.”
