A Recommendation for Antique Bed Mattresses

Opsal's bed.Hi, Bungalow Club—

I just finished reading your latest newsletter and wanted to write to you with some intel on a place folks can get custom mattresses made for their unusually-sized antique beds. I sleep in a mission-style 3/4 bed that was my great-great grandma’s. This spring I had Minnesota Mattress Factory in Kenyon make me a new custom mattress for it.

We visited them one day to pick out the mattress “innards.” (We combined our visit to Kenyon with a trip to Faribault to tour the Faribault Woolen Mills—a historic adventure in itself!)

The Minnesota Mattress Factory had my new mattress done in a few days. They are regularly in the Twin Cities, so they delivered it to my home. They were great to work with, and I was stunned at how easy and quick the process was—had I known that, I would’ve done it years ago!
